Sara Winchester, M.D.

Dr. Winchester is from Midlothian, Virginia, and attended the University of Virginia School of Medicine. She completed two years of pediatric training at MassGeneral Hospital for Children in Boston, Massachusetts, where she was the recipient of the Howard King Patient Care Award at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She returned home to the south to complete her final year of pediatric training at Duke University Medical Center. She worked for a year following pediatric training in the Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Program as a hospitalist, treating children with cancer and neurological complications from cancer and transplant. She then finished her child neurology fellowship at Duke and worked as a general neurologist in a private practice in Raleigh, NC. Dr. Winchester joined the practice in October 2011. She is the mother of two young boys.

Dr. Winchester enjoys general pediatric neurology, including developmental delays, migraines and pediatric headache, seizures and movement disorders.
